Statutes Control

Maze Legal is not liable for any decision, action, or outcome arising from use of, or reliance on, the Calculator, including decisions related to charging, plea negotiations, litigation strategy, client counseling, or sentencing.

Judicial Discretion, Disputes, and Case-Specific Factors

Sentencing may be affected by numerous variables not captured by the Calculator, including presentence investigation reports, disputed scoring variables, aggravating and mitigating circumstances, statutory limitations, judicial interpretation, departures, and appellate review standards. The Calculator cannot account for every potential argument or factual scenario.

Limitation of Damages

Liability Cap

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF MAZE LEGAL AND WILLIAM MAZE FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE CALCULATOR SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00), OR THE MINIMUM AMOUNT PERMITTED BY LAW IF SUCH LIMITATION IS NOT ENFORCEABLE.

Security, Downtime, and Technical Issues

Maze Legal is not responsible for outages, interruptions, hosting failures, cyber incidents, browser incompatibilities, device issues, corrupted local storage, or other technical problems that may prevent access to, or proper operation of, the Calculator.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Maze Legal and William Maze from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and costs) arising out of or relating to your use or misuse of the Calculator, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
